Created in a creative fest, I was designing a logo for a client and I just couldn’t get it right. I decided to paint my vision, here is what came to life.

It’s a drone that is supposed to resemble a bee…art is wild.

Pink Skies, was created by using acrylic paint and a rose. Created at one of Kristine’s Rose Painting Classes, this painting speaks volumes in color.

This painting was inspired by the season of love.

This creation was one that I will never forget; it was a moment of luck. I was in the studio at USF fanatically rushing to come up with a theme for my series. Not just any series, this was my very first showing, EVER. I had no idea what to expect.

To share this story, I need to back track a bit. I week prior, I received $400 worth of unwanted roses from someone (who was also unwanted). I didn’t have a clue what to do with the roses, they wouldn’t fit in the trash, I tried. Luckily for me, I have a big beautiful brain. I decided I would paint with them. It was so poetic to create something beautiful from something that wasn’t wanted.

I decided to use the show as a platform to raise awareness about sexual and domestic violence. Each piece was created with a rose, the rose represented harassment. I decided to take an unwanted advance and make it a teachable moment. Just because someone wants you or wants to give you something, that doesn’t mean you have to accept it.

Defamation was created to show victims of abuse that they aren’t to blame. Coming forward and breaking your silence is one of the scariest things a person can do. But it needs to happen, when and if that person is ready to. The longer the world stays silent, the longer evil triumphs.

Please do me this kindness, if ever someone opens up to you about their trauma, do NOT question them or their perspective. They wouldn’t tell you something so personal if they don’t feel safe around you. You may be the only person they trust.

Golden was created by using a single rose and acrylic paint. I love the texture gained from implanting the petals directly onto the canvas. Taking nature and art to a whole new level.

This painting delves into the feeling of being completely solitude on a summer’s afternoon. The single rose is adhered to the canvas with paint to represent a butterfly.

Kuma means ‘bear’, in Japanese.

Kuma to me, is the brightness in everyday. This little fluff butt and I have been through it all. In 2018 Kuma got really sick, he almost died. We were within minutes from never seeing each other again on this earth. Then, love happened. He fought so hard to survive. It wasn’t easy, Kuma had to relearn how to walk, and had to regain his sight, after having a stroke from complications. All while Damon and I, lived in crappy hotel rooms hoping for a miracle.

Here he is, my miracle, Kuma.
